Making use of existing information

One of CONVERIS fundamental principles is to reuse existing information as much as possible. CONVERIS Research Database has therefore been built to easily integrate data from both internal systems and external databases.

Internally, connections are often made to login servers, staff databases, financial systems and course databases to keep key information on persons, organisations and other entities continuously up-to-date.

To further reduce the workload on administrators and researchers for manually registering information, CONVERIS Research Database can also provide data on publications from Thomson Scientific and contracts from the European Commission and other funding bodies.
