About CONVERIS
Since universities and research organisations across Europe are facing an increasing competition for funding and talents, their demand for a systematic management of research information grows stronger day by day.
With CONVERIS, we target the main challenge of collecting and quality assuring data. Researchers and administrators can in CONVERIS thus easily register, validate and utilise information on all their research activities and results, such as publications, contracts, awards, technology offers, patents and much more. This includes new features supporting the users to be automatically informed about new publications in online sources matching their profiles in order to further reduce the time scientists need to spend on registration and administration.
CONVERIS is fully CERIF compliant, but can now also be freely customised by the client through the CONVERIS configuration interface to match the organisation’s specific needs seen to data model, user rights and workflow support. This, in combination with access to CONVERIS API, gives the organisation full flexibility and free access to make any integration with other systems and adapt CONVERIS to new or changing requirements and needs. This is also in line with CONVERIS principle to reuse already existing information to the highest possible extent. HR, finance, student records, Web of Science and PubMed are just a few examples of internal and external systems that CONVERIS usually integrates with to reduce administrative burden. Moreover, CONVERIS supports the organisation’s workflows and processes for validation and approval, such as grant applications that need approval from finance and management before being submitted to a funding body. Once the research information has been registered, validated and approved, CONVERIS offers multifaceted possibilities to utilise it in different kinds of analyses and reports, CVs, on websites or in research assessment exercises like the Research Excellence Framework (REF) in the UK.
CONVERIS provides researchers in their personal profile with an overview of all their research activities and results. Here, they can comfortably register and update their scientific information, such as publications, contracts, technology offers or patents. Furthermore, CONVERIS includes a row of possibilities to compile the date in a tailor-made way for different purposes, such as CVs, contract or publication analyses or websites.
But CONVERIS is not only about making life easier for the researchers. Also research administrators, managers or other users interested in accessing more aggregated overviews of the organisation’s scientific activities will meet improved features and modules for their analyses and assessments. Flexible reporting possibilities, network visualisations and various kinds of new statistics are just a few examples.
